In this question let the first conclusion be that a priest is bound by the law of nature to hide sin uncovered to him in confession; let the second be that he is bound to it by divine positive law; the third that he is bound to it by the positive law of the Church; the fourth that he is bound as to the ‘when’ and the ‘how’ and other pertinent circumstances; fifth that he is bound as to other things secret or in secret uncovered to another.
